Polkadot is a decentralized network that enables cross-chain transactions. It is built on a substrate that allows for easy development of parachains, which are chains that are parallel to the main Polkadot chain. Polkadot also includes a relay chain that allows for communication between the various parachains.
Polkadot is changing the way we think about web3. Instead of being a collection of isolated blockchain networks, Polkadot enables them to interact with each other. This creates a more interoperable and connected ecosystem of blockchains.
